Independent power producer Rural Free State (RFS) has started switching off parts of its solar farms after the Johannesburg High Court dismissed its case against Eskom with costs, Sunday Times reports. As a result of the ruling, RFS has to throttle its electricity generation. It also halted a 480kW solar project in Frankfort that was nearly finished. According to the report, RFS is forced to dump half of the electricity it could supply to the town.

Maybe RFS can start a battery loading service for the community. People can take their special deep cycle batteries to the farm and have them recharged. All they need would be the inverters to get 220 volt. Or they buy the panels from the sabotaged RFS and set up their own systems. Maybe the farm can also start a manufacturing business using that power and at least they make use of it….’n Boer maak ‘n plan…Hydroponic farming methods can make use of such power.., then the community can produce their own free from Gates’s GMO stuff. He lately sprays food with some bad stuff and was caught out by a dr Ruby. There was talk a few years ago that they will eventually tax those using their own solar power as if the anc owns the sun.
How the bloody hell can the High Court rule in favour of Eskom?? !!! May the people install their own solar panels on their own roofs ??? Nobody can prevent them from doing that???
So if “Frankfort” can’t change its “loadshedding” schedule and MUST adhere to the EKSDOM schedule…. PLEASE explain how the CoCT can be allowed to a different “loadshedding” schedule to that supplied by EKSDOM by the mere fact that they too are augmenting the usage by generating their own “in-house” electricity
