On Thursday, 13 July 2023, members of SAPS Alberton in partnership with CPS security guards arrested two suspects, aged 33 and 38, following a spate of robbery incidents in the Alberton policing area.
The SAPS members were reportedly out on a routine crime prevention patrol when they detected a vehicle with two occupants.
The said vehicle matched the description of the vehicle used by the alleged robbers who are linked to a number of robbery incidents reported to Alberton police station.
The suspects’ vehicle was intercepted and a search was conducted where after various items were found in their possession.
Further investigation continues.
