Court update: Limpopo Traffic Officer arrested for allegedly killing his girlfriend

The 34- year-old Limpopo Traffic Officer Kabelo Peter Duba, arrested for allegedly killing his girlfriend, has appeared before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 04 September 2023, and the matter was postponed to 15 September 2023 for a formal bail application and further Police investigations.

The suspect is facing charges of murder, unlawful possession of firearm and ammunition, theft of the deceased’s cellphone and defeating the ends of justice.

The suspect, attached to Polokwane Provincial Traffic, was arrested on Thursday 24 August 2023, at his homestead in Penina Park Polokwane, by members of the Provincial Murder and Robbery and Tracking Team after he was positively linked with the incident in which the body of an unknown woman was found under a bridge at Chuenespoort in Lebowakgomo Policing precinct on Thursday 17 August 2023.

During the arrest, Police recovered an unlicensed firearm with ammunition and as well as other exhibits.

The woman was later identified as 26-year-old Kedidimetse Moche who was a student at The Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Polokwane Campus.

Police investigation continues.
