Two foreign nationals aged between 32 and 42 were arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle on the R82 towards Viljoensdrift.
On Tuesday, 02 January 2024 at about 23:40 members of Sasolburg Highway Patrol were patrolling on the R82 towards Viljoensdrift when they spotted a white Kia Picanto with no registration numbers plates.
The members swiftly stopped the vehicle with two male occupants. The vehicle was searched and two number plates and a toy gun were discovered inside the car.
An inquiry was made with the number plates and it was discovered that the vehicle was hijacked in Kliprivier.
The two suspects were arrested and will appear before the Sasolburg Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 05 January 2024 on charges of possession of suspected stolen vehicle.
