Discipline has a voice
Ever wondered why you have that ONE student, that ONE friend, that ONE work colleague ….?
Life sprinkles us with beauty and brings color to a dull world through differences. Being different can be a very unique adding to what the norm is like. Often, we spot someone in a crowd. We identify with the ‘odd’ personality in a class. We stare in awe at the most ridiculously dressed. Does this really mean that they are dwelling in the ‘abnormal’? -Define normal. Ever wondered how they might view us, who believe we are the ‘normal’?
Everyone brings some sort of ‘unique’ to the empty canvas, created by God’s hands. A painting speaks to a soul that appreciates its mystery, its defined difference, smell-less aroma and speechless tale. We are all so beautifully shaped, flawlessly made and created. Just the way we were planned and designed to be. We all fall under a code of behavior. For some, we create and live within our own codes, a language we use to make sense of our outer surroundings. For others, manipulated by forced codes that traps and captures our belonging in freedom. Some of us, the balance between both, we practice and live with balance and respect, as guidance. Behaving in such a manner where respect dominates the role, is when discipline is born in its purest shape. Respect is the drive behind discipline. Coding its path with positive vibes, good listening ears, behavior to match and an obedience towards set rules.
Discipline has a voice to be heard, not to be forced upon. Discipline is teamwork, guidance and trust. Discipline needs respect as a vehicle needs fuel for its drive. It is driven behind a passionate heart, open-mind and set goal-plan.
Discipline needs to be taught, installed and demonstrated. The strongest voice for discipline is modeled behavior.
Voice it forward in your everyday life, paying close attention to model respect with a positive mindset as part of your daily lifestyle.
Discipline allows us to accept differences, enjoy the essence of art and to just BE the very that ONE in uniquely-self. Join abnormality and let discipline be the norm in NORM-al. (normal)
