Eskom cancels stage 4 load shedding for today-what a joke!!!!

Eskom has cancelled stage 4 load shedding for today (13 January) due to improvements in generation capacity.

“The slight improvement in generation capacity, as well as the recovery of emergency reserves for the week ahead, has enabled Eskom not to implement Stage 4 load shedding from 16:00 today, as previously communicated,” Eskom said.

“Stage 3 load shedding will remain in place until 16:00 on Sunday when Stage 4 load shedding will be implemented,” it added.

Eskom noted that it would closely monitor the power system and communicate any changes should it be required.

Saturday, 13 January

Sunday

• Stage 3: 00h00 to 05h00

• Stage 3: 05h00 to 16h00

Eskom said that its teams are working to ensure that 1,960MW of generating capacity is returned to service by the evening of Monday, 15 January.
