Garden Route. -A smallholding owner and his wife (both 63) with his elderly mother and another person in the 80s were attacked and seriously assaulted on Tuesday, January 16 at about 1:30 a.m. .
According to Sergeant. Christopher Spies it is being investigated by police a case of house robbery.
Four suspects allegedly attacked and assaulted the victims, after which they fled with their personal belongings in a Volkswagen Amarok, which belongs to one of the victims. The vehicle was later found abandoned in Bob Street in Thembalethu.
Spies says preliminary investigation indicates an unknown amount of cash, a handbag and more personal belongings have been stolen.
Workers on the smallholding discovered the injured victims in the morning and called authorities. The owner, his wife and elderly mother were admitted to a hospital with serious injuries to medical assistance.
