With 90% of municipalities in South Africa being driven into the ground by inept, incompetent and corrupt politicians – one man, Michael Tellinger, has come up with a great concept that is finding favour across South Africa. It is called simply “One Small Town”.
I met Michael Tellinger by accident while travelling through Mpumalanga back in 2011. Without doubt he is one of the most creative “out of the box” intellectuals and deep thinking historians of our time.
