The Thabo Mofutsanayana District Executive Detective Structure, Anti-Gang and Members of Public Order Police have on Monday and Tuesday arrested nine suspects for alleged arson, malicious damage to property and assault with intend to cause grievous bodily harm.
This is after a pensioner and his children were on Saturday 17 December 2022 attacked by farm dwellers in Slabberts district Fouriesburg and chased out of the farm after they were accused of committing crime.
The suspects are expected to appear before the Fouriesburg Magistrate court on Thursday, 22 December 2022 facing charges of assault with intend to cause grievous bodily harm, malicious damage to property and arson.
People are warned to refrain from taking the law into their own hands especially where the suspects are granted bail but still attending courts.
