A farm murder took place on 15 January 2023, at 06:30, in Badfontein, near Lydenburg, in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa.
Johan Nortje had gone to take his vehicle out when two attackers opened fire on him. He was fattaly wounded.
The farmer who was armed was then robbed of his firearm.
The attackers then entered the home and assaulted and tied up the farmers wife Sussan Nortje.
Firearms and cell phones were robbed before the attackers fled in Johan Nortje’s bakkie.
There is a lookout for the robbed vehicle, a white Toyota Hilux double cab with registration JWT546MP.
Police are investigating. There have been no arrests.
