A farm attack took place on Sunday 29 January 2023, at 05:00, on a farm near Brits in the North West province of South Africa.
Anet Coetzee (57), who stays in the home with her young son was in the bathroom and as she came out she walked into an unknown child in the home.
The child ran and escaped through her bedroom window.
As she went to close the window and investigate an unknown number of attackers opened fire on her from outside.
Anet Coetzee was shot in the face, shoulder and chest but still managed to call for help.
All role players responded and Coetzee was transported to hospital in a critical condition.
Police are investigating but there have been no arrests.
