A farm attack took place on 4 February 2023, at 20:30, on a small holding in Kameeldrift West, in the Gauteng province of South Africa.
Residents were braaiing outside and as they went back into the house they were overpowered by four armed attackers.
The attackers gained access to the property by cutting through the fence.
Due to the flattened grass in the area it is presumed that the attackers lay in wait and held the residents under surveillance for quite a while before striking.
The residents, two woman and a man, were tied up and the man assaulted.
They were held up until approximately 04:20. One attacker stood guard over the victims while the other three ransacked the home and loaded numerous items into a vehicle.
After the attackers fled the victims managed to raise the alarm and all role players responded.
Police are investigating but there have been no arrets.
