Vredenburg Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences unit are seeking the assistance of the public to trace 26 year old Odwa Collen Hlahla of Makhaya Dorra Thamame, Mandela Park in Khayelitsha who was last seen during October 2022 when he made a court appearance in the Vredenburg Regional Court.
Odwa Collen Hlahla who was a student at a local institute of learning in Vredenburg, was arrested and detained on Friday 31 July 2020 after he lured a 24 year old girl to his home in Nikkel Street, Vredenburg on Monday 11 May 2020 where he raped her repeatedly.
The accused failed to appear in the Vredenburg Regional court when the matter was remanded for Friday 4 November 2022.
