SAPS Walmer detectives are seeking the community’s assistance in identifying and tracing the next of kin of a partially decomposed body that was found in bushes in Victoria Drive on 7 April 2023.
It is alleged that at about 14:00m on the mentioned date, hikers were walking on a trail when noticed a strong stench emanating from nearby bushes.
They looked around and found the body of an African male lying on his back.
The body was already decomposing. He is believed to be between 30 and 40 years old and was clad in a yellow/beige tracksuit pants, black long sleeve top and black takkies.
Police are awaiting the results of the post-mortem report to determine the exact cause of death.
