WESTERN CAPE – A 30-year-old man appeared in the Mossel Bay Magistrates’ court on Tuesday, 08 August 2023, after he was arrested in connection with the disappearance and death of Desmond Share (53) who was reported missing last week.
Investigation and the search for the missing person took the search party to bushes between Herbertsdale and Albertinia on Saturday, 05 August 2023 where the victim’s vehicle was spotted earlier the week. A search of the area ensued leading to the discovery of the body of the victim with multiple injuries. He was declared deceased by medical personnel on the scene.
The team assembled to conduct the investigation and later the same day they arrested a suspect in Du Noon after he was positively linked to the murder. He made his first court appearance earlier today on charges of murder, hijacking and kidnapping.
The search for the vehicle is still underway.
The accused was remanded in custody and the case was postponed to 15 August 2023 for a formal bail application.
Investigation into this case continues.
