GQEBERHA – SAPS Swartkops detectives are investigating a double murder after the bodies of two males, a father and son were found on a dirt road near Addo Road at midday, 22 August 2023.
It is alleged that on Sunday, 20 August 2023 at about 07:00, Edwin De Vos (45) and his son Leonardo De Vos (19) were last seeing leaving their house with a woman whose vehicle they had previously repaired.
On Tuesday, 22 August 2023, his wife went to SAPS Gelvandale to report them missing. While she was still at the police station, police received information of two bodies that were found on the dirt road in the Swartkops policing area.
It was confirmed that the bodies found were that of the missing father and son.
A case of double murder is under investigation.
