The SAPS Bela-Bela Crime Intelligence Unit jointly with Crime Prevention members have successfully carried out a tactical operation resulting in the arrest of a 28- year-old suspect for possession of dagga on Wednesday 30 August 2023 at about 12h00.
This operation is part of Police’ ongoing efforts to address drug-related offenses and maintain community safety across the Province.
The suspect was arrested at his homestead in koppewai Informal Settlement and was found in possession of 720 grams of High-Cross dagga with the estimated street value of R2000-00.
The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has welcomed the arrest and lauded the members for their diligent work.
The suspect will appear in the Bela-Bela Magistrate’s Court on Thursday 31 August 2023 on a charge of possession of dagga.
