Police detain suspects, found in possession of drugs

Police members deployed in the Western Cape to combat crime, arrested and detained two males when they were found to be in possession of drugs.

Police members attached to Operation restore were deployed in Mitchells Plain to follow up on information on Saturday, 02 September 2023. They entered and searched a premises in Platteklip Street where they confiscated a consignment of drugs. They arrested and detained an adult male on a charge of possession of drugs

In an unrelated intervention Robertson police were conducting patrols in the early hours of Sunday, 03 September 2023, when they responded to information. The members proceeded to an address in Nqubela and searched the premises. They recovered drugs hidden in the room and arrested two adult males on a charge of dealing in drugs.

Once charged the suspects are expected to make their respective court appearance in the Mitchells Plain and Robertson Magistrate’s Courts on the mentioned charges.
