Australian banks closing down hundreds of branches as cash is surreptitiously removed from the monetary system

On last night’s news the CEO of one of the big four banks in Australia stated that hundreds of branches will be closed to further coerce customers to use digital money and not traditional cash. This is their move to introduce a more “efficient” central bank digital currency.
