A 35-year-old Teboho Edward Tshabalala appeared before the Sasolburg Magistrateās Court on Tuesday, 03 October 2023 for alleged murder.
On Friday, 29 September 2023 at about 19:00, the police received a complaint of murder at Wedepohl Street Sasolburg. On arrival at the scene the police found the lifeless body of a woman who was identified as Jeanette Kgatliso Maleshano (32), lying outside the house.
It is alleged that the suspect arrived at the deceased residential place, and requested her to come outside. While they were outside the ex-boyfriend stabbed her and fled the scene. The emergency services declared her dead on the scene.
The Sasolburg SAPS members mobilized the neighbouring stations and stakeholders, and gave the registration number of the vehicle he used to flee the scene.
In the early hours of Saturday, 30 September 2023, the suspect was apprehended and arrested at Vaal Water in Limpopo.
The case was postponed to Friday, 06 October 2023 for a formal bail application.
