A 32-year-old accused, Cameron Samson pleaded guilty before Kimberley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 22 November 2023 on charges of dealing in drugs.
Samson was arrested in April 2021 with other eleven accused during a project driven investigation by the Hawks Kimberley based Serious Organised Crime Investigation team.
The accused made a series of court appearances until his sentencing. He was sentenced to a fine of R 12 000.00 or three years direct imprisonment.
The Provincial Head of the Hawks in the Northern Cape Major General Steven Mabuela congratulated the team for their persistence in this investigation and achieving the goals of the Directorate.
