The South African Police Service is aware of a voice note doing the rounds where a photo of a vehicle alleged to be involved in the kidnapping of young girls in Bloemfontein is also shared.
We want to assure the community that all relevant information is being processed by our operatives. We want to urge the community not to press panic buttons unnecessary on this very sensitive issue, as the police are working around the clock to find the victims who are still missing and to search for the suspect(s) in the murder of Machaka Radebe.
We are aware of all the concerns being raised and the Provincial Commissioner of the Police in the Free State, Lieutenant General Baile Motswenyane, has instructed the District Commissioner of the Mangaung District to intensify deployments. At the same time she want to promise the community that the investigation is in the hands of a capable and seasoned team of investigators.
The community is requested to first share all relevant information with the police to assist us to apprehend the perpetrators and find the missing girls as soon as possible.
