Suspects on the loose after copper was stolen and damage to infrastructure which amounts to R2 million was reported

There was copper cable stolen and the Water Treatment Plant infrastructure damaged at Gewin farm in the district of Theunissen from 19:00, the 13 December until 01:30 on 14 December 2023.

15 meters of copper cable worth R25 000 were stolen and the Water Treatment Plant was also damaged with the estimated value of R2 million rand.

A case of theft of copper and damage to the infrastructure was registered for further investigation.
