A short while ago, IPSS Search and Rescue received reports of a 7 year old boy who was swept away whilst attempting to cross the Enembe River in Sundumbili.
IPSS Search and Rescue alongside Rural Metro Fire Department conducted a search along the river and managed to recover the boys body. The deceased was handed over to Sundumbili SAPS.
Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
We once again remind everyone to avoid crossing rivers at low-lying bridges and non-designated crossing areas, especially those with young children.
