Thabo Mofutsanyana District Commissioner, Major General Jan Tsotetsi issued certificates of recognition and appreciation to members of Community Police Board Executive and all the 31 police stations Community Police Forums.
On Saturday, 29 December 2023 members of Community Police Forum received their individual and station certificates also celebrating their year-end function which was held at Bethlehem, Dihlabeng Public Park. The Thabo Mofutsanyana District CPF Board launched their first ever festive season operations of Community in Blue in Bohlokong and Bethlehem. The multidisciplinary operations consisted of local stakeholders of the government as to ensure public safety during fwstiv season. The launch was also extended to Maluti-a-Phofung and Nketoana municipalities with the aim of crime awareness. In the process number of people were arrested and detained for various community related crimes including police action crimes such as drinking in public.
The District Commissioner thanked the community for their selfless efforts of working together with the police through patrols and community awareness campaigns that were held throughout the year 2023. He also thanked the TMD Executive Board for their intervention and implementing community structures to ensure public safety. The chairperson of Thabo Mofutsanyana District CPF Executive Board, Mr Moshoeshoe Mofokeng thanked district commissioner for all efforts and transportation of CPF members within district to ensure smooth running of events. He also thanked District CPF Coordinator, Sergeant Phutsisi for her dedication and determination of her work.
