The South African Police Service’s Zwelitsha has made a number of successes in recent operations, preventing actions that could threaten the safety and security of the community.
A male suspect was arrested for drug-related crime, where members recovered drugs identified as mandrax, dagga and crystal meth. Another suspect was arrested for Tampering the essential infrastructure material and possession of stolen property (electric cable). Members also seized two replica firearms that were likely abandoned by possible street robbers who ran away from the stop-and-search that was conducted.
These arrests highlight the members’ dedication to keeping the community safe and preventing robberies in the community. The suspects are between 23 and 48 years of age.
The members are continuing to work diligently to maintain the safety of the area. Police urge the community members to report any criminal activities by contacting SAPS Crime Stop number on 08600 10111.
