The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela has commended members of the Police from Nelspruit for the major breakthrough after three suspects, aged between 20 and 38 were nabbed following the murder of a Doctor in Nelspruit.
A 40-year-old Doctor, identified as Nicholas Procter was reported missing on Thursday, 01 February 2024. Later that day, his lifeless body was unfortunately found in a flat at Green Valley.
A murder case was opened and the docket was assigned to a team of investigators and they did not disappoint as they worked around the clock then finally cracked the case by apprehending the three suspects at Protea Glen, in the Gauteng Province. The trio was cornered yesterday, Monday 05 February 2024.
The suspects were then charged for the murder and are due to appear in Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court today, Tuesday 06 February 2024 facing the said charges.
This enormous achievement has brought joy to the Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela who went beyond praising the SAPS team for displaying professionalism in their investigation but brought some kind of relief to the late Doctor’s family. “The team members had spent sleepless nights with the hope to capture the suspects so that the family of the murdered Doctor may find closure as well as some kind of justice for the slain victim, ” said the General.
