A stolen Toyota Hilux led police to addresses where the loot was recovered and four suspects were arrested in the Kagisanong policing precinct.
On Monday 4 March 2024 at about 06:00, members of the Bloemfontein Flying Squad received information about a possible stolen vehicle and members rushed where a white Toyota Hilux was found abandoned in Hamilton behind business premises. All four wheels of the bakkie were stolen, as well as its radio. It was discovered that the vehicle was stolen at a business burglary in Hamilton, where power tools were also stolen.
Working together with Tracker SA and other private securities, various addresses were searched in Sejake Square, where four males aged between 21 and 56 years old were arrested. About R500 000 worth of stolen property was recovered (wheels, vehicle radio, welders, grinders, drills and other property).
Cases of possession of suspected stolen property and conspiracy to commit a crime were opened at Kagisanong Police Station for further investigation.
