SAPS Gauteng Midrand 10111 Call Centre has been evacuated due to a possible fire hazard which may be caused by electric wiring. The Call Centre operators have been transported to the Benoni 10111 Call Centre as all services have been diverted there to ensure that service delivery is not hampered.
The Johannesburg Emergency Services’ Fire Department is on scene to investigate.
The public may continue to call 10111 to report crime or the SAPS Crime Stop Call Centre number on 08600 10111 for tip-offs.
The public will be notified when the call centre has been declared safe for members to return and resume their work at this facility.
