Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on the scene and located the lifeless body of the male between informal homes. He had been shot multiple times. It was alleged that the shooting started on the main road approximately 10 meters away. The deceased was pursued and shot several times before he collapsed.
Reaction Officers interviewed several residents in an attempt to obtain a description of the shooter/s, but the community declined to provide any information. Some individuals stated that they dove for cover when the shooting started. Six spent 9 mm cartridges and a live round was recovered.
The identity of the deceased was confirmed by his family who were present at the scene….
