The officials monitored the vehicle which was moving along Nombela Street from Spruit and upon attempting to stop the vehicle, the driver did not comply.
There was a shootout between the suspects and the officers, and a chase ensued until the vehicle was abandoned at Dlomo Street, Zulu Section in Vosloorus. The suspects fled the scene and the motor vehicle was recovered.
