and key professionals to assist on various levels, from Education, Extraction, Counselling, Assisting Victims
with Skills Development and Integrating them back to become part of society.
We are a family of freedom fighters and together we are making a difference to eliminate Trafficking in
Persons and Modern-Day Slavery.❖ Awareness & Education – through talks, presentations, webinars, media interviews and YouTube talks,
as well as through Social Media. Only 1-2% of victims ever get saved, therefore prevention is key.
❖ Victim Identification – through talks and presentations, as well as collaborating and educating key
organisations in vulnerable communities. If you know what to look for and how to report it, you
become active in combatting Human Trafficking.
❖ Reducing Vulnerability – through key events, where we stand alongside like-minded organisations and
host Online Workshops, Online Talks with Experts and Hope to Healing events with Free Counselling
for Attendees, in order to help reduce vulnerability. Traffickers pick on the vulnerable, if the
vulnerability is reduced, you are less of a target.
❖ Evangelical Outreaches –Street outreaches, as well as hosting of events, to assist those Trapped in
Trafficking. If the Victims or the Traffickers realise the truth behind the Love of God, His forgiveness,
and His purpose for them, then hope can be restored and Trafficking can be reduced.
❖ Collaboration–Supporting and working with other organisations that are fighting for the same cause.
As a unit, we counter Human Trafficking, some extract, some educate, some counsel, some feed, some
equip – we are a family of Anti-Human Trafficking Activists.GOALS:
Good media relationships and frequent interviews; Effective use of Social Media, for informing,
equipping and updating the public; Training Victim Identifiers and Reporters; Events and Outreaches

Johanita Jordaan is the Co-founder of The Joseph Movement, as well as the Marketing

she watched the “Nefarious – Merchant of Souls” movie. It gripped her heart deeply and
caused her to pray and mourn for months, asking God to have mercy on the children
being Trafficked, especially those being Trafficked by their own parents. A friend shared
a song with her – “Do Something” by Matthew West. In the song he sings about shouting
at God and asking Him “why don’t You do something?” and then God responds in the
song: “I did, I created You.” This is when she realised: I need to Do Something – and she
will.
Johanita was a Volunteer at Stop Trafficking of People NPC and then advanced to being
offered a part-time position.
