    South African-born billionaire Elon Musk revealed why he left the country and managed to avoid time in the military.
    THE BILLIONAIRE LEFT SOUTH AFRICA AT 17 IN PART TO AVOID THE MILITARY
    In an interview, Musk was asked if he was in the army in South Africa.
    The CEO of Tesla stated that he was never in the army and that he left the country at the age of 17.
    Musk noted that in part, his reasoning for leaving SA was to ‘avoid conscription into the army’.

    WHY DID HE WANT TO AVOID BEING IN THE ARMY?
    The interview was conducted by US actor Rainn Wilson. Wilson emphasised his next question, asking Musk if he left so he didn’t have to be part of the army
    The SpaceX founder had a quick and noteworthy response to the above question.

    “You know, spending two years suppressing black people didn’t seem to be a great use of time,”

    said Musk.

    In other news about the SA-born billionaire, it was previously reported that he fired Twitter’s board of directors and became the sole director according to a company filming.
    According to the documents filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Monday 31 October – he fired Twitter’s board of directors.
    So, he has become the sole director which gives him unfettered control over the micro-blogging platform.
