MultiChoice has been ordered to compensate a former employee for unfair dismissal due to its vaccination policy. The worker approached the CCMA after MultiChoice refused him an “exemption” in terms of its vaccination policy, declaring him “permanently incapacitated”. The CCMA ruled that the vaccination policy was discriminatory in that employees who decided not to vaccinate were treated unfairly.
