A farm attack took place on Saturday night, 4 February 2023, on a farm in Mooinooi, in the North West province of South Africa.
Four attackers, of which two were armed with firearms, gained access to the property by placing tree branches under the electric fence to crawl under.
The family, who was braaiing outside, were surprised by the attackers who overpowered them and forced them into the home where they were tied up with cable ties.
The attackers then ransacked the home and stole a fridge, mobile phones and a laptop and then fled in the owner’s bakkie, a red Toyota.
One of the victims managed to get loose and freed the others whereupon they raised the alarm.
No one was seriously injured during the assault.
HPG Mooinooi attended the scene but tracks could not be followed due to the rain.
Police are investigating but there have been no arrests.
There is no other information available at this stage.
