We have a right to live in abundance

Today, I would like to share with you the values that drive One Small Town

initiative. Because behind every social project there are values that uphold it.

In 1963, Martin Luther King made a vibrant speech that is still relevant today. “I have a dream…”. It is now time for the dream to become reality and for our values to take shape in the world we want to create. This world is possible and we are working to bring it to life – now, in our lifetime.

In this new world, we live harmoniously and we can all find our rightful place. Divided we fall, united we prosper, and that is why everyone’s contributions and interests are respected. True to the Ubuntu philosophy, we are aware that we are one with our community.

In this world, everyone can flourish by allowing their natural talents to express themselves and by putting them at the service of all. A world in which we work collaboratively and benefit from our collective efforts and individual talents.

It is a world of solidarity where everyone feels part of a group that cares for each other, so that no one is excluded. It is a just world, where everyone can regain their freedom and sovereignty.
