Former President Jacob Zuma has extended his trip to Moscow as the Department of Correctional Services (DCS) decides whether to return to prison.

Zuma was supposed to return to South Africa on Tuesday, but he extended the trip. He is seeking medical treatment in the Russian capital, although the details of his illness are unknown. On Wednesday, the DCS said the department had yet to decide zuma’s fate.
Mzwanele Manyi, spokesperson for the Jacob Zuma Foundation, confirmed that Zuma had not returned from Moscow. “I don’t know when he’ll come back,” he said.
