Where is the evidence that the current mild strains of Covid have resulted in death or complications that has resulted in a high number of admissions into hospital? Where is the evidence that the old vaccine, meant for the alpha strain, has been tested against the new strains for efficacy and safety?
The DOH merely states that Covid can cause complications but does not offer any proof that it does? The DOH does not stipulate what chronic conditions put children at risk. Asthma, diabetes, heart conditions are chronic but it doesn’t mean that children with these conditions do not have an intact immune system to mount an adequate response to these mild strains.
What makes the DOH so sure that these children don’t have good and superior, robust natural immunity with nuclear and membrane antibodies from previous infections, than the short lasting vaccine immunity.
The DOH is behaving like the FDA, which was disgracefully found to base their advice on conjecture and anecdotal information.
