Golden Arrow Bus Services say since yesterday, six buses
have been torched amid the taxi stay away in the Western Cape.
A bus driver has also been shot and wounded in Khayelitsha.
There have also been several incidents of stone-throwing,
during which passengers were injured.
Yesterday the South African National Taxi Council announced
a province-wide suspension of all services for six days.
The decision comes after Santaco withdrew from the Minibus
Taxi Task Team was set up to address numerous challenges in the industry.
