On 11 September 2023 Hawks members from Newcastle Serious Organised Crime Investigation and Glencoe K9 Unit arrested a 36-year-old for possession of unlicensed firearms.
Members received information about a suspect who was in possession of unlicensed firearms at Dundee. A joint operation was conducted and they proceeded to the said residence. A search was conducted and a 9mm pistol with live rounds of ammunition was found.
He was placed under arrest and charged for possession of unlicensed firearm as well as live rounds of ammunition. He is expected to appear in the Dundee Magistrates’ Court today.
