SAPS Jeffreys Bay detectives are investigating a culpable homicide after a 25-year-old man died in a motor vehicle accident on the N2, Jeffreys Bay on Monday, 18 September 2023.
It is alleged that at approximately 05:30, this morning, police responded to a complaint of an accident involving two vehicles. On arrival they were informed, that a Suzuki S-presso was traveling from Gqeberha towards Humansdorp and a VW Caddy was travelling in the opposite direction. It was further alleged that the Suzuki overtook another vehicle on a solid white line and collided head on with the VW Caddy. The driver (25) of the Suzuki succumbed to his injuries on the scene, while the driver and two children in the VW Caddy sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospitals in Gqeberha.
The name of the deceased will be released once the next of kin has been informed.
A case of culpable homicide is under investigation.
