The Central Energy Fund (CEF) has confirmed the new prices for petrol and diesel which will take effect from midnight on Tuesday, 5 December.
The news was particularly good for diesel car owners, while petrol motorists won’t be complaining either.

1. The international price of petroleum products, driven mainly by oil prices
2. The rand/dollar exchange rate used in the purchase of these products
Oil price
At the time of publishing the brent crude oil price is $80.95 a barrel.
Exchange rate
At the time of publishing the rand/dollar exchange rate is R18.67/$.
The price changes for both petrol and diesel will come into effect at midnight on Tuesday, 5 December.
