LIMPOPO.
FiND iT het voorheen soos volg berig:

Limpopo. -Frederick Benjamin Erasmus, 22, who is suspected of a shooting on three people on a farm in Roossenekal, handed himself over to police on Monday morning, after which he appeared in Groblersdal Magistrate’s Court.
Brig. Hlulani Mashaba said the suspect was arrested for attempted murder after allegedly firing shots at three people on the farm.
Erasmus’s case was postponed for formal bail application until January 15, 2024. He will remain in custody while the police investigation continues.
The firearm apparently used during the incident belongs to the suspect’s girl. She is charged with negligent handling of a firearm, which she left in the vehicle.
The arrest comes after three men walking on the farm were confronted by the suspect and his father on their farm, after which the shooting incident occurred.
FiND IT previously reported as follows:
Police launched a search after a farm owner from Roossenekal allegedly shot at three people on his farm at about 2pm on Friday afternoon.
Brig. Hlulani Mashaba said three people walked on the farm when the owner and a occupant apparently rushed to their bakkie at a high speed.
The farm owner apparently jumped out of the bakkie and accused the three people of theft on his farm. He apparently brought out a firearm, after which the three, who were on foot, ran in different directions. Shots were apparently shot, after which one of the fugitives broke his leg. He was apparently able to contact his brother for help, who saw his fleeing brother on arrival on arrival. The farm owner is apparently past them with the bakkie without offering help.
Police and emergency services could be called, after which the injured man was taken to a medical facility for help.
Mashaba says one cartridge cap was picked up at the scene and three attempted murder cases are registered, which is now being investigated.
