The Police at Schoemansdal are in pursuit of suspect(s) after a man’s body was found in the bushes at Jeppes Reef on Christmas Day. The victim is unknown at this stage. Police therefore request the public to come forth and assist with information regarding his family. His lifeless body was reportedly found with three gunshot wounds on his head in the early hours of Monday, 25 December 2023 around 05:30.
It is reported that the police received information from the local Ward Councillor after being alerted by community members. When police attended the complainant, they found a male’s body in Mnyambazi stream with bullet wounds on his head. The victim was certified dead by paramedics at the scene.
The victim was wearing a pair of black trousers, black jacket, black boots, blue beanie and a blue hand glove which he was wearing on his right hand.
The victim’s age seems to be around mid-thirties and was of average weight and height. He was medium dark in complexion.
The Schoemansdal police calls on anyone who might have lost a relative or have any knowledge of either the victim or the suspects behind his murder to contact Detective Sergeant Ntombi Mbokane on 082 923 1309 or call Crime Stop at 08600 10111. Alternatively, members of the community may send information via MYSAPSAPP. Callers may opt to remain anonymous, and all received information will be treated as confidential.
