The murder accused, Werner de Jager” lot, is determined today in the Amanzimtoti Magistrate’s Court.

De Jager finds out today whether he will be charged with a Schedule 6 felony or an Schedule 5 crime.

De Jager is facing charges of murder with premeditated councils-which is a Schedule 6 crime-for the murder of his wife, Reverend Liezel de Jager in 2021.

However, he maintains that he did not kill her.

However, the state argues that this is not the case because of the life policies he allegedly took out in Liezel’s name, while he is the only beneficiary of these policies. Before the schedule does not become known, his bail application cannot continue.
