Q&A.275.THE BIBLE – JESUS Is Both God & Human
JESUS Is Both God & Human – The Word Became Flesh = 2 Natures
??”But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while” (Hebrews 2:9-10)
??Jesus Christ is God Incarnate, The Word became Flesh. God took on human flesh, nature and Soul, but without sin.JESUS Is God Incarnate:
??”In the Beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1)
??”He was in the beginning with God (John 1:2)
??”The Word became Flesh and dwelt among us full of grace, truth and glory” (John 1:14)
??”Through Him all things were made, without Him nothing was made that has been made” (John 1:3; Colos 1:16)??The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High..”
“How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”
The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.” (Luke 1:28-35)The Father Calls the Son God:
??But about the SON he says,
“Your throne, O GOD, will last for ever and ever;
a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.
You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;
therefore GOD, Your GOD, has set you above your companions
by anointing you with the oil of joy” (Psalm 45:6-7; Hebrews 1:5-9)??Jesus, with His wise words, divine miracles and resurrection, was walking around as a human being. Not an ordinary man but an extraordinary supernatural God-Man. He was explaining to His followers that He was both fully God and fully Human, i.e. the Word became Flesh. (John 1:1-4, 14)
??Jesus as HUMAN (but Sinless Soul) – Ate, drank, slept, wept, spoke to the Father, experienced all human emotions and was crucified and killed
??Jesus as GOD – Is One with the Father, the Word became Flesh, forgave sins, performed miracles, raised the dead, rose from death and ascended into heaven and is omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient..
??Christ was killed, crucified by human sin, but offered His death to pay for the sins of the whole world…
??Only the perfect Son of God can make humans righteous for God’s Perfect Glory and Paradise??Imperfect humans by themselves, cannot make themselves righteous with the perfect God.
??”Jesus atoned for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world” (1John 2:2)??”No one has ever seen God but the Son who is Himself God” (John 1:18)
??“While We Wait For The Blessed Hope, the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Christ”(Titus 2:13)
??”I Have Brought You Glory On Earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began” (John 17:1-5)
??”The Father Judges No One, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father” (John 5:22-23)
??”Yet For Us There Is But One God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.” (1 Corinthians 8:6)
??Jesus said, “The Father and I are One” (John 10:30-36)
??Jesus said, “Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father” (John 14:9)
??Jesus said, “I am in the Father and the Father is in Me” (John 14:10)
??Jesus said “All that the Father has is Mine” (John 16:15)??”The Son Is The Radiance Of God’s Glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven” (Hebrews 1:3)
??”The Son Is The Image Of The Iinvisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.
He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
And he is the head of the body, the church..” (Colossians 1:15-18)??”Jesus, who, being In very nature God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness”
“And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death – even death on a cross!”
“For this reason God raised him to the highest place above and gave him the name that is greater than any other name. And so, in honor of the name of Jesus, all beings in heaven, on earth, and in the world below will fall on their knees and all will openly proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:3-11)
?? “BUT we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.
“Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. He says, “I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters; in the assembly I will sing your praises.”
“And again he says, “Here am I, and the children God has given me.”
“Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death – that is, the devil and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death…
“For this reason he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people” (Hebrews 2:6-18)
??”By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear” (Hebrews 8:12-13; 10:12-22)
??”Love does no wrong to a neighbor therefore Love is the fulfilling of the Law” (Rom 13:10; Matt 22:30-40)
??”Whoever does not Love does not know God because God is Love” (1John 4:8)
Christ’s 2 Greatest Commandments Are:
??”Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together.
One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question:
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
1. Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment”
2. “And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself, love your enemy and pray for those who persecute you”’
? “All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments” (Matthew 22:30-40)??Christ’s Law, the New Covenant, overrules Mosaic law. (Matthew 5:38-48)
??Jesus said, You have heard it said, “an eye for an eye, etc. But I tell you, Love your enemy” (Matt 5:38-48)JESUS Is Crucified & Risen – MIRACLES of Christ’s Shroud
?? “The Son of Man will give you everlasting life, because God the Father has set His seal on Him” (John 6:27)

THE One True God
??God is one Spirit Being, eternally present as three distinct centers of consciousness within God (hence the Godhead of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit).
One Being, One Essence, yet three distinct persons. As persons each is definitely not either of the other two.
However, as One Spirit Being we can definitely say that the Father is the Son is the Holy Spirit.
Jesus is the Son of God, the Son of Man, and God Almighty simultaneously.
Jesus has always existed and was never a created being.
He had a physical birth of a Virgin and of the Holy Spirit, thereby He did not inherit the sin nature of Adam.
“For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form” (Colossians 2:9)God’s love is eternal and perfect. God eternally loves the Son and the Son eternally loves the Father and the Holy Spirit represents this Love.
??The One True Lord God is 3 divine Persons, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit existing in eternal Union – inseperately, i.e. not separately or individually..
But they work together in Union whilst also having specialised roles
For example, where ever the Father is also is the Son and the Holy Spirit, etc.
So the Father sends the Son (Word) who is God incarnate (Jesus being both fully God and human) and the Son sends the Holy Spirit..but they are fully the One God..
And so the Father, Son and Holy Spirit do not speak or ‘work’ individually because Being in Eternal Union they are the One God..??Understanding The Trinity By Bishop Barron:
