A TOTAL OF 18 WANTED CRIMINALS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN ROODEPAN

NORTHERN CAPE. -A team of detectives from Roodepan police station arrested 18 during a tracking operation on Wednesday.

According to Sergeant. Timothy Sam  the suspects are wanted for various crimes such as attempted murder, assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm, robbery, burglary and theft, directing a firearm, theft and disregarding protection orders. Some have disregarded and violated court orders.

Sam says all the suspects were arrested at their homes and appeared in the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court.

“The public is reminded that failure to appear in court is not excusable. The court may find grounds to add another crime to existing charges without valid evidence or explanation. ”
