Members of Kuruman Stock Theft and Endangered Species Unit(STESU) arrested two male suspects and retrieved alleged stolen stock worth about R25 000-00.
The members swiftly followed up on information regarding alleged stock theft that occurred on 07 March 2024 at a farm in Kuruman.
The members retrieved all 17 suspected stolen goats from a farm in Revielo in the North West Province, hours later.
The goats were positively identified and handed back to the rightful owner.
The suspects are 39 and 43 years old respectively and will appear in the Kuruman Magistrates Court soon.
The Provincial Commissioner for the Northern Cape, Lieutenant General Koliswa Otola commended the Kuruman STESU members for their quick response and reiterated that we will continue to combat crime through decisive police action and robust community involvement.
We also encourage the community to participate in the “RATE OUR SERVICE” QR online survey and assist the police in improving our service.
