Sharia Law is not an option but requires fulfillment by every Muslim, yet very few understand it and are left to trust only the interpretations of a few scholars. The two main purposes of Sharia Law are to describe the proper duty Muslims owe to Allah and the rules surrounding civil life like areas of marriage, divorce, and commerce. The implications of this are very transactional. Islam is completely based on works and fulfilling one’s duty to Allah. Holy War is a part of this duty. It is not optional. Muslims are required to convert all nonbelievers around them by persuasion or force.
