    Quick and Easy Chocolate Cake

    Ingredients:

    For the Cake:

    2 cups (240g) wheat flour
    1 cup (200g) sugar
    1 cup (80g) unsweetened cocoa powder
    1 teaspoon (5g) baking powder
    1 teaspoon (5g) baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon (2.5g) salt
    2 large eggs
    1 cup (240ml) milk
    1/2 cup (120ml) vegetable oil
    2 teaspoons (10ml) vanilla extract
    1 cup (240ml) boiling water
    To the roof:

    200g semi-sweet chocolate, chopped

    200ml of cream

    Instructions:

    Prepare the Cake:

    Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan (approximately 22×33 cm or 9×13 inches).
    In a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
    Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix well until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
    Add the boiling water to the dough, stirring gently until combined. The dough will be very liquid, which is normal.
    Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
    Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
    Prepare the Cover:
    In a heat-resistant bowl, place the chopped semi-sweet chocolate.
    Heat the cream in a pan until it starts to boil. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let it rest for 5 minutes.
    Stir until you get a smooth and shiny cream. Let it cool slightly before using.
    Assemble the Cake:
    When the cake is completely cool, spread the chocolate frosting over it.
    If desired, decorate with chocolate shavings, sprinkles or fresh fruit.
    Serve:

    Cut into pieces and serve. This cake is perfect for any occasion and is especially delicious with a glass of milk or a cup of coffee.
